This blog is about the fun stuff going on in my life. I want to remember these days forever. So when I do something fun, learn something new, go somewhere different, or make something pointless (but cute!) I write about it here. This is a happy, crafty, lighthearted place.
Most of my ventures are around North Carolina, a state I am now convinced is one of the most wonderful places to live. I work full-time and live in Raleigh, but I was born in Durham and that’s my heart.
I make crafty things for therapy. Mostly just cute things to look at or wear. One of my aunts employs me as her dedicated candle-maker. I happily make her travel tin candles with cute labels to give to her lady-friends for holidays. I do this for weddings and other special events of friends and family. I take the most laborious approach to candle-making in my apartment kitchen with a self-made double boiler, but they are each poured with love and smell so delicious. I also make sushi ornaments around the holidays. And jewelry. And upcycle some yardsale finds. My craft-life is random, like my posting. I sometimes sell these things in my Etsy Shop for a couple dollars so I can maybe buy me a Yo Pop.
